Default Sneek Peek at Verizon’s upcoming new HD lineup?

Sneek Peek at Verizon’s upcoming new HD lineup?

Verizon just released the channel lineup for Portland, Oregon effective July 2008. Since we know that Verizon is rolling out the channel nationally we now know we will be getting the same channels and on the same channel numbers.

UPDATE: You can see the new national channels on the main page for Verizon channel lineup.

This means that we can expect the La Conexion to move to 1500s, Music Choice to 1800s, Urge Radio to 1900s,

The HD channels would move from the 800s to start at 500 all the way up to 999. The HD channels to be added are:

USA – 550
TBS – 552
ESPNews – 572
Big Ten Network – 585
Versus/ Golf – 590
Outdoor – 591
CNN – 600
CNBC – 602
MSNBC – 603
The Weather Channel – 619
Science – 622
Smithsonian – 625
History – 628
Animal Planet – 630
TLC – 639

As great as this news is, it is too bad we in Tampa have to wait the longest to get it. I believe August is the soonest we would get them right?

Has anyone received a notice that FiOS will be dropping analog channels yet?

BBC America HD is supposed to launch this fall. I hope Verizon will keep a slot open to add it when it becomes available.

I got a letter about it, and an automated phone call a few days ago.

The un-official calendar predicts Tampa will on 10/2. With the analogs still not off we knew it wasn't going to be July, but October seems a long way off at this point.

Indiana (actual: 6/30)
Oregon (actual: 7/21)
7/23 NY (actual: 7/23)
7/28 Pittsburgh (actual: 8/6)
7/30 Richmond VA
7/31 Norfolk VA
8/4 Northern NJ (actual: 7/30)
8/20 Massachusetts
8/25 Philadelphia
9/17 Maryland
10/2 Florida
10/8 Texas
10/9 California
