I'm surprised no one has said anything about the flyers they're getting with their bills. Effective on our next bill, the new prices are:

Total Choice Premier - $93.99
Total Choice Plus - $45.99
Total Choice - $41.99

That's a $3 hike or about a 8.5% price increase for my package.

I'm wondering what additional charges they're going to try to lay on us when they put up the new satellites, and offer local HD channels.

I'm also tempted to call them and find out how they can make me commit to an additional year of service when I got my HDTV receiver from them, and then raise the prices midstream.

Come on Verizon Video!!!

Verizon will have an introductory price and then go up also. It's inflation. All cable, satellite providers are going to do this. These providers every time they renegotiate their contracts with TV channels, its usually for more money. The main DISH Network has not had certain channels for a few weeks (Lifetime, Court TV, etc) is that the ststion has wanted to increase the price for much more than the normal inflation rate and DISH said screw you. You can expect a price increase every year to 2 years.

County taxes go up on average 3% every year. Just the way it is.

The HDTV package is no longer optional if have a HDTV reciever, but I think this only effects new customers.

With DISH you can have one, but pay a $6 fee /month.
