Does ABC or NBC or CBS local do News in True HD or is it all just 16x9 sd crap?

NO.

you might THINK they are 16x9 because your new TV is strecthing them.
If its not HD, then its 4x3 "old' format.
You might also check the "#" key on the BHN remote for different scaling methods.

I have tv set to Natural which does not change signal. I have made sure that the # sign is on normal setting, also have settings set to pass thur for box. It appears that abc news looks some what letter boxed Not like a HD show but not like ESPNhd when they do a Non HD show, something in bewteen.

it all depends on how much each broadcast zooms in the 4:3 pic to fill the screen. You'll notice that when abc 28 switches it's feed to the national one during primetime that the ratio is a more native 4:3.

It looks like Fox is using new Camera or something for local In studio News is it just me?

do you mean you are noticing a different aspect ratio or picture quality? They zoomed the aspect about 2 months ago.
