The guide says the NFL Network is moving from the 'Sports' package on 8/1 to the normal regular 'Premier' 34.95 package.

Thank god.. now I can drop the useless 'Sports' package and save a little.

Where did you find the info on the NFL channel? I will probably cancel the sports package also at that rate. I have not seen where they announce changes.

There may be a better thread for this sort of thing, but I'll start here. I just got FIOS TV and Internet a few weeks ago, and am pleased in general having had BH before. My wife noticed that WE was not part of the channel lineup and wanted me to find out where Verizon was at with obtaining them. I got the run around a bit in terms of what department to call, but was finally told to contact the network and have them request to be put on VZ FIOS TV. I also asked them about the availability of HD PPV events (ie boxing matches), because my buddy ordered one a couple weeks back and the only option was the regular feed. They told me there is no HD PPV capability as of now, "they're working on it". I'm pretty happy with everything so far, but I really hope they'll get a fix on that pretty quick.
Just got off the phone with them, summary is as follows: They will add WE and HD PPV to the request dept, and they said they were able to confirm they're currently working on adding the HD PPV capability. I think I can safely speak for all of us FIOS users when I say HURRY UP!
