Pass thru option - FIOS TV

I just had FIOS TV installed, am I missing something or does it not have a pass thru option? I hate to have to chooses 720p or 1080i, prefer to let the maker of the HDTV programming choose for me.

What option works best for everyone? And also what settings have you found to work best with the non hidef content, right now I have 720P and STRETCH chosen, HDTV looks great, the SDTV looks a little grainy though.

Which box do you have? I have the DVR and the signal passes thru and the TV adjusts. I don't have the non-DVR HD box, so can't help you there.

I could be all wrong but I have both HD boxes and the non DVR looks almost exactly like the DVR so I would suspect they are very similar. I did not see anything in the setup that would let me mess with passthru options.
