Can anyone suggest a site with basic info on pre-wiring a house for sat service? I'll be helping my brother run some HT wiring in the very near future. The house is under construction so now is the time to do it.
Yeah I probably should have done a google search first but I don't need 10,000 hits for a "free" install.
Thanks,
Don

Yup...lots of crap from google. Off to Dow Electronics to see if they can hook me up.

Don,
I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're asking. Are you asking for what type of wire to run, or where to run it, or what? Also, are you sure the builder will allow it? I know sometimes they can be a real pain in the a$$ about CODE and such. Also, so far as I know you really only need a big spool or RG6 cable, a grounding block, and I believe that a triple LNB dish can supply fee to only 3 outlets - that might be wrong though.
Hope that helped a little,
Brett

The 3 LNB dish can feed 4 recievers, if you need more than 4 you will have to buy a multiswitch.

Thanks for the info. Upon further inquiry my brother appears to be dead set against sat service due to a buddy's bad experience regarding weather/signal issues.
Thanks,
Don
