Has anyone used this company? I am getting ready to drop BHN and get D* with the new HD Tivo. They are offering the following deal on their web site.

KIT-1820-1R

DIRECTV 1-Room HR10-250 200 Hour (STD) 35 Hour (HDTV) DIRECTV High Definition DVR w/ TiVo System with Triple LNB Dish & Standard Installation
New Customers Only - High-Definition DIRECTV DVR w/ TiVo - The "best-of-the-best" in video & audio technology - up to 1080i lines of resolution for HD-ready TVs, HDMI and component video outputs, and an optical output for full Dolby Digital 5.1…
More Info
$999.99

They claim the 10-250 is in stock.

Any comments about Rapid Satellite woud be appreciated. Thanks

well considering I ordered mine in March... and just got it on 3 August... I doubt it.

But tell them that if they have them in stock you will take it... as the price is fixed unless you got in on a pre-order

I have never heard of them.
I bought mine from Circuit City.

They have them in stock on their web site right now.

I am not sure but I heard some negative comments about them in the TIVO forum. I would do a search over there before you decide.

Thanks for your comments! I am finally going to retire my 26in. Mitsubishi and join the big screen crowd. I've been driving myself nuts looking at Samsung DLP's, LCD's and much cheaper CRT RPTV's. As soon as I decide on an HDTV, I'd like to get D* installed and drop BHN keeping RR od course. I can't imagine living without the DVR, thus my interest in the HD-Tivo. Does anyone know if CC can arrange for the D* installation. That would make for a neat package if they could bundle the TV along with the TIVO, dish, installation etc. Hmm, any comments. Thanks

Yes Circuit City will bundle it. When you buy it online it asks if you want professional installation. You can use the online cart to add all the parts you need. Then when the installer calls to setup installation, you can setup the details.
