Question for all you football fans, NFL or College. If your favorite team is playing in a game that is being broadcasted in SD and there is a HD game on at the same time(Sunday Ticket). Do you watch your favorite team with poor PQ or do you turn to the HD game and watch in amazement? As a BUCS fan I don't think I'll have to face this decision too many times since they play most of their games on FOX, I believe since they are the reigning SuperBowl Champions Fox will most likely broadcast the game in widescreen. Personally I love football in HD. As I am still at this moment a BHN subscriber, I am really only guaranteed 1 HD game a week(MNF ABC). CBS game of the week is not guaranteed to be broadcasted by the local affiliate OTA and Sunday night football on ESPNHD is not available on BHN. I've had a tough time deciding whether to jump to D*, but I'm sure I will regret it if I don't.

I would watch the Bucs game in sd before I would watch another game in hd.....thats not saying much though because I very seldom watch a game if the bucs aren't playing in it.

I hope we can get most of the Bucs games this season in hd....anyone know if the Sunday games are likely to be in hd or not?

I looks like the BUCs have 11 games on Fox(hopefully a majority of them in WS), 3 games on MNF on ABC HD, 1 Sunday night game on ESPNHD, and 1 CBS game(vs Houston so most likely not the "game of th week" and not in HD)

I hope fox gets their act together and starts broadcasting hd soon.....it's not like they can't afford it

My understanding fom AVS was that they are headed toward it in the next 12 months. At least it is WS and digital progressive, though much less than HD quality.

The first 4 weeks HD/WS schedule is out, This is for D* ST

CBS HDTV & Fox Widescreen NFL Games on DirecTV
Week 1 - 9/7/03
CBS HDTV
1 pm ET San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs - ch 70
Fox Widescreen
1pm ET St. Louis Rams at New York Giants - ch 71
4pm ET Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys - ch 72

Week 2 Sunday Sept 14
CBS HD
New England Patriots at Philadelphia Eagles 4:00 pm 70
Fox WS
San Francisco 49ers at St. Louis Rams 1:00 pm 71
Washington Redskins at Atlanta Falcons 1:00 pm 72

Week 3 Sunday Sept 21
CBS HD
Cleveland Browns at San Francisco 49ers 4:00 pm 70
Fox WS
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons 1:00 pm 71
New York Giants at Washington Redskins 4:00 pm 72

Week 4 Sunday Sept 28
CBS HD
New England Patriots at Washington Redskins 1:00 pm 70

So as you can see the bucs will be in SD for the 2nd and 4th game, and in WS for there 3rd game against the Falcons.

The only time you will see the Bucs in HD will be

Sept 8th vs Philly ABC
Oct 6th vs Indy ABC
Nov 24th vs NY Giants ABC
Nov 30th vs Jacksonville ESPN-HD

The playoffs.

Personaly I will always watch my team first, then flip to the HD game during the commercials. But if the bucs are not on, I will watch any game in HD even if I wouldnt of normally watched it.
