I just got BHN and I am really happy with the PQ on SD, but for some reason the STB pillar boxes my SD material so it looks 4:3 on my set. My set says it is receiving 480i and when I set my aspect ratio on the TV to pillar box 4:3 instead of stretch it shows me two pillar boxes. One that it generated and a second that the BHN HD box generated.
I changed the set type in the BHN HD STB from widescreen to normal, but it made no difference.
What can I do? I want the TV to apply the stretch or pillar box, not the HD STB. Basically I want 480i 4:3 left alone.
Any ideas?
