Don't know if posting prices is improper on this forum

But picked up the 43 dlp for 2799 online at cyber discount warehouse. New not refurbished. Plus 249 for samsung 3 yr ext. warranty.

I thought it was a great deal!

It's Samsung's 43" DLP RPTV.

I thought you knew everything!!

Oops - forgot to log in - that was me above.

That model usually retails for 3500 and the best I found on the net elsewhere was about 3000. No local brick and mortar would match the price.

Also picked up the Samsung 3yr extended warranty for 249. No tax but 185 delivery.

I'm pretty excited about the technology. When it came down to it, I had to return the Mits 42 I just bought because of my room setup - too much of a viewing angle problem (so says my wife). This still fits in my ent. center, is lightweight, suffers no possible burn in (so no need to stretch 4:3). As I've discovered in searching the alternatives, there may be some downsides but they appear to be minor.

They've got some great prices - I just hope I don't have any problems with them. I'll let you guys know!

I'de love to get a dlp rptv but I would want a 52" minimum and they are just still too expensive....hopefully they will replace tube rptv's eventually and drop in price....black level on dlp is the only real drawback as far as I'm concerned and they are improving on that every day 8)

Actually, the 50 isn't much more expensive than the 43. http://store.yahoo.com/cyberdiscountwarehouse-buys/sahl50hdmote.html

But they are still both a boatload. I was comparing to direct views since the room I have won't work with an rptv so the price difference wasn't as bad. Still, HDTV RPTV are much cheaper.
