About 3 months ago my ws55711 started to reboot for no reason at all.
After two visits from my Sound Advice repair man and a new power board. I finally realized what was causing it to reboot.
If I send a discrete ON code quickly followed by a discrete input code, the tv reboots everytime within 30 seconds. After the tech repaired the power board he said he had to re-converge my TV. He noticed that when he would converge the VGA in and then go back to the RGBHV it would be out of convergence. The tech indicated that he really believed I needed a new computer(that is what he called it) but he said Mitsu wouldn't send him one unless he took my light box into the shop, test it then Mitsu would send him the part then he would fix it and bring it back. I asked him how long this would take, and he told me about 3 weeks. As you can imagine I was outraged. I told him that was too long and to go back to his boss and call me back. After about another month I get a call from the dispach setting up a apointment to come fix my TV. The tech calls me the day before and tells me they will have to take my light box into the shop. I told him not to come for now, because I wanted to see what my options were.

I have called Mitsu customer relations they prommised to call back within two business days. I plan to call the salesman on monday and he see if he can help, and I am also going to call the Sound Advice service manager and see what he can do.

I think 1 week is resonable, but honestly I don't understand why they can't just order the part and bring it to my house. This is ridiculous, to have to wait three weeks.

I appreciate anyone's sugestions.

Thanks in advanced.

If it were me, personally I get tired of dealing with the small guys in the loop. If you feel you are unhappy with service and the repair they are doing then take it straight to the head manager of Sound Advice and express to him your frustrations. If I am a good customer and I am spending money in a store I expect to be treated like I am worth something. If that all goes south write a letter to the corporate office of Sound Advice and explain in detail what has occurred. Posting your steps through the process on sites like this one also gets the word out as to what stores are truly not worth shopping at. Yes I do have experience in this since I went through a similar process, I finally got my entire TV replaced, and it was worth the hassel!
