WFLA-DT and WTSP-DT on BHN

Just thought you guys might be interesed in this. I got my HD TV last November and have been watching for new HD channels on BHN ever since. I've also e-mailed them many times. They always answer my e-mail but never have any information for me.

One Friday night in late January I was checking out the HD test channels as usual and I found WFLA-DT on Test 1 and WTSP-DT on Test 2! I was extatic! I watched a movie in HD on NBC and couldn't wait for Monday to see Leno in HD.

Well, the next day, when I tuned to the Test channels, they both said Unauthorized, call 800-etc. I called and they said that they were unable to turn them on for me as they were controlled by engineering.

I still check them out all the time and have never seen those station on there since.

Got an email from WTSP this morning. They are saying that they were told Tuesday of this week (9/16/03) that the deal would be done in 10 days. BH then has 60 days to put it on line, pending notification of the public. This may be shortened, however, since this station does not have any adult or profane content for which the 60 day mandate is designed. Greg M. at Brighthouse has explained this in detail over on AVS.

To believe it or not, I don't know. This info, however, is coming from WTSP and NOT BH. With this and the new "HD Tier", maybe some changes on the horizon.
