I just played with the ATI HDTV Wonder for 30 minutes at the NAB in Las Vegas. Retails at $110 and shipping in 4-6 weeks. You need a Radeon 9500 or above to feed the monitor, but WOW!!!! It's amazing for what it can do. Full Tivo functions (stop live HD Broadcast, rewind, replay from that point etc). You can save the file in about any format imaginable.

The ONLY thing I didn't like compared to MyHD card was the reservation system is a wizard instead of 1 screen, but they told me their surveys showed that most people prefer the wizard.

It's Amazing for that price is all I can say.

can you ask them where this fits in if I already have the 9800 Pro AIW?
is it just a software upgrade to the recoding software that came with the 9800?
this card's under 60 days old - does that get me anything?

I can tell you the answer as I went through most every scenario. They told me that it would only work with a 9500+ series Radeon video card (ie, 9500, 9600, 9800) only. It also apparently conflicts with the AIW cards, so those are no go, so they said.

I can also tell you for $110 retail that does not include the remote control. The series 2 remote (not the one included in the AIW) goes for $50 additional - but the remote included in the AIW will work the HDTV Wonder.

I have a 9800AIW that I never even installed all the software. Anyone want a slighty used one :)

Two months later and it's still not available from anywhere that I can find, even direct from ATI's store.

If anyone knows a place that stocks it, please enlighten me!

This has not even been release yet.

I am sure the news will be all over once it gets released.

I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't as good as the HDTV tuner cards already availible today. @
