HDTV Screen Protectors

I am sure there are those of you out there who are like me and now have kids running around your house with the thought ever present as to when they will destroy your HDTV screen. I have been trying to locate a screen protector and I found this site:

I am curious to know if anyone has ever used them or if you have a better recommendation for screen protectors. The cost of $229 is a little pricey, but I like the idea that they will come out and custom fit it to your TV's dimensions.

I'de just get a piece of 1/4" plexiglass and make a frame for it that would fit the front of the tv...I don't have kids and my tv's both have a protective screen already anyway but if I needed one I sure wouldn't pay anyone 250 dollars for something I could build in a hour or two for maybe 50 bucks tops
