HD Pack Unencrypted

Looks like the HD pack (InHD, HDnet, Universal HD, and ESPN HD) are unencrypted over QAM. Just noticed it yesterday when I rescaned on my MyHD MDP-130. Double checked with a friend with a cablecard TV, and he gets them too and he has not subscribed to it. Anyone know if this is a free preview or what?

Strangely, I cannot pickup Discovery HD or TNT HD on my tuner. I guess they are still encrypted. Anyone know what the physical channels are for those?

Wow, that is a crazy coincidence! I was just installing my OTA antenna today and decided to clear out and rescan for channels and I picked them up too!
I have a cable card tv, but when I asked BHN for a card a month ago, they said they don't have them available in this area (North Pinellas). Is that a load of crap, does anybody know?

I saw something today about the HD pack free preview. I think it runs through the end of the month. I did not pay much attention to the dates since I already subscribe to this service.

Free preview started 2/10 and will end 2/26. You should be seeing some commercials about the preview, and we're calling HD subscribers who don't get the HD-pak with a 3 months for half price off

They are supposed to be available by FCC regulations, starting back last July I think.

Static. I for one am a service technician for BHN. They have the cable cards available, but quite a few tv's have compatibility issues. You can get one for your tv as long as it is not on the trouble list. There is a short wait time for the cards but not more than a couple weeks or so. Hope this helps. If you can post me your tv brand and model, I can verify if you are compatible.
