I just noticed that I am getting sound problems on the movie channels with the BHN DVR. I get a lot of audio drops and an occasional video problem on any shows that I have recorded. If I just play it live thru the box it is fine with no problems. I can record other channels without problems. I just recorded from 603 (PBS SD) the other night and it is fine. Anyone have any ideas or should I just get them to swap the box?

It is posible that the signal entering into your home may need to be adjusted ....You can try to reboot your DVR by pushing 3 buttons on the front at the same time ( Info + both Vol buttons).....Hope this helps ....

Harry,
there HAVE been bad PVR boxes out there.
you really shouldn't have an audio dropout on a analog channel - so if you are, then I'd think its the box.

It is not on the analog channels that I get the sound drops. It is on the digital channels like 201 that I get the sound drops. Does not seem to matter if it is Dolby or not. Like I said it is only on recording/playback that I get the drops. (Not sure if the recording is bad or it goes bad during playback). Live thru the box is just fine. 603 is a digital channel and it is fine. Almost like there is something in the way they scramble the signal that causes the problem.

You've tried reseting the box right?...these dvr's are just like computers....if they don't get unplugged periodicly and allowed to reboot they start slowing down and sometimes will start having recording error's.
I reboot mine about once every week or two and so far it has taken care of any problems it was having before I unplugged it.
