what a deal. I was talking to freind of mine about his new HD system and he gave me a number for a local retailer than is offering a sweet new 40" projection HDTV W/ Dishnetworks newest line of HD eqiupment for only $1200. I thought he was just rubbing it in but when I called them it was no joke. These guys definately new their stuff and saved me even more money by hooking up my locals and doing the install of everything for free. I never met someone so pumped to give the world HD. I would be more then happy to give you their info just let me know. :o

ya, i'd heard months ago DISH was going to be doing some entry-level, low cost deal that would get you a HD TV along with a subscription.

haven't heard much about it - just like the lack of info on the SuperDISH... but then I was just told on Friday that the SuperDISH signal cannot be received by Florida... only a "middle" stripe across the US. Unsure if they are working to improve that or if Florida is out of luck permanently.

there is no need for a superdish but you do miss out on HBO HD and 1 pay per view HD on demand channel. not bad when the eqiupment is free. they also hooked up my locals via off air ant. so really I saved the $5.99 a month that I would have normally probably ordered. Now I have analog and HD locals,a few extra HD channels you cant even get with normal analog antenna service. I also call these guys anytime I have any questions and they always get back to me right away. I told them today about this site and I thin they would be an asset for Tampa Bay local HD questions Im sure we'll be seeing them on a message board posting soon.

My Dad down in St. Pete just got hooked up by Dish with a 40" HDTV and an 811 receiver. I'm jealous. The TV is great and it cost him a lot less than mine did. He also didn't have to pay the $500 for his receiver. They hooked him up for free and gave him the receiver for free. OTA has been set up and everything. I have Direct's HD receiver and I thought it was the S!@t until I saw this thing. Signal meters for every channel and everything. That Free thing is true. If anyone has their contracts running out with Direct, I'll give you the # my dad called. If anyone has cable....I'll say I'm sorry for ya. Late

Is this the same offer that Dish has but for $200 more? Here is a link to the offer I am talking about: http://www.twice.com/index.asp?layout=story_stocks&articleid=CA376898&display=sectionStory&verticalid=320&industry=Video%2FHome+Satellite&pubdate=01/26/2004&STT=000&industryid=%industryid% If so, you might want to get your money back. Don't want to burst your bubble, but just want to warn the next guy.
