:( I took my RCA DTC-100 STB back to Circuit City a week before the Superbowl for service while it was still under warranty. I just learned that they've sent it back to RCA for service.

Anyone have any experiences with RCA Service? How long might it take?

We were having problems with losing signals after changing channels in DirecTV, and losing some signals in OTA as well, though not as much. I hope it's worth the wait.

Thanks, Holly.

Candyman,
Don't you have this STB, too? Or maybe I'm confusing you with someone else . . .

I'm scared to death about what's happening with it. I'm a little protective, and it's still a good six weeks before HD Tivo comes out -- YIKES!

yeah...I have the dtc100 and two RCA hdtv's...my first tv is waiting till I can afford the 400 dollar repair bill to replace a faulty transformer that I couldn't get RCA to fix and my second one is still doing ok but it's only 8 months old (keeping fingers crossed)

I tried RCA's online support and tried to call them numerous times about my tv with no success.

If your getting it done through cc then you will probly have more luck though.

my dtc100 is still working fine though.

Yeah I have experience with the RCA STB. They suck! I don't mean to be vulgar but I got one as my first HDTV STB and about 6 months later I had issues and it would not find any signals. Well assuming things would be covered I called Circuit City and they forwarded me to the service provider who told me the parts are free but the labor I had to pay for $50.00 dollars! Well since the unit was free with a rebate I thought that was a rip off so there it sits at my house. I went and got the Sony STB and I am much happier with it's quality.
