Ok I am sick of watching BHN with all these audio drop outs and pixelation/macroblocking.

Please report your experiences here. I know this happens alot but it is inconsistant so if we all work together we should be able to find the root of this problem, then maybe with some luck we can get BHN to fix it.

Guidlines
Please post aproximatly what time you were watching, what channel, and aproximatly how often/bad the interuption was. Also your location would be a plus. Also if check your Uncor Blks on page 4 of the service menu if possible.

Had total cable drop out last night during CSI. Started out as audio/picture hiccups then picture froze for several seconds and then nothing.

I had brief sound and video interruptions about every 5 minutes during the super bowl.

I have been watching "The Fugitive" on HBOHD.
There were numerous drop outs at 5:56pm.
Since then it had droped out about 15 times in the past hour. As close together as 10 seconds, and as far apart as 15 mins.

we hate to fess up to this, but on Tuesday night, we were watching American Idol.
Actually, the missus was... I just wandered into the room to get something to eat. During my 35 minutes, from 8:20-8:55, I noticed 3 audio-only dropouts.
These were instant with no sound for maybe .5 seconds - no video anomaly.

3 or 4 audio dropouts during CSI on Thursday.
Also, wife reported numerous on the non-HD signal for Survivor just prior to CSI.

No audio problem for me during CSI. I've checked the service menu a couple of times and I don't see any error counts. I must be on a rock solid loop.

video blip during INHD replay of coverage from Pebble Beach (golf)

at exactly 9:29, when Faxon was on the tee, video dropouts (just immediate video hiccup), and an actual video/sound stutter some other time while he was still on the hole.

OK trying to watch the Lion King on ABC, in the first 2 mins audio dropouts were terrible, and then rigth at 8:02 the entire screen freezed for about 20 seconds.
After the freezing stoped, the audio dropouts were just as bad, so I switched to OTA.

I saw the same thing. It did it several times and I just switched to watching something else.

8O I've been waiting to see how many other people have been experancing drop outs and to my dismay not that many people have commented on this issue. I know its not because im the only one having this problem. I currently am experancing the drop out issue with all of my pay chanels 201 and up and my hdtv tier chanels, it seams that as the night gets later the drop out rate increases ( audio and video ). What will be the next step for us high $$$$ paying consumers. keeping a list of when this happens is a nice start but its faw and away no where near solving this issue. Totaly confused and upset please can anyone out there help us. :x

I noticed on Sat around 1:00PM on ch 628 (ABC) that it was really hosed. Looked like two or three different programs. Not related to their SD broadcast. Also occasionly absolute no audio on several consecutive channels while channel surfing. Significant other has also has me about this. I do not have an answer.

I can't tell you exactly when it occurs, but pixelation is just pretty much expected at my house when watching the digital tier and HD. I don't have audio dropouts though, and the picture rarely freezes. But I have brief mosaic bursts about once every ten minutes or so.

I am pretty convinced these issues are local. I have problems almost constantly, and no one else seems to be having them as often. I guess I can only hope at this point that they fix it. Eventually I will just switch to DBS.

Get a tech out to check your box. I had the same problem and was given the runaround on the phone. I told them to either fix it or I'd cancel my service. Tech came and found that the box was bad. Switched out for a new box, no more problems.
