View Full Version : Strange Reception in Winter Haven
We have installed an omnidirectional dish on a 20 foot pole. I get NBC in Tampa, NBC from Orlando (east of Orlando) and NBC from Ft. Myers. No CBS or ABC. Next, we are going to try a directional satellite. One NBC is enough. Any thoughts?

hi,
well i don't know if you have a omni UHF _AND_ VHF, but NBC in Tampa is VHF... so you might try 12.1 (FOX) as well.
if you only had a VHF, then this would make sense.
if you can get NBC and you are VHF/UHF, then you should also be able to get ABC, PBS and UPN as they are all strong signals from Riverview. TheWB is better to get from Orlando cause ours sucks and is not HD.

What antenna are you using. I am in South Lakeland and want to try getting Orlando. I just have to try. :)
We have the Channel Master 3010 and am now picking up abc, cbs, nbc, fox and a number of UHF stations from points East. Orlando, Clermont, Daytona. The antenna is mounted on a 20 foot pole. It works great. Contact Jeff or Jay at Soundwaves in Lakeland. They can hook you up for a very reasonable cost. Good luck.
