As far as I know just BHN Tampa Bay and Central Florida. The channel is in the six hundred range but I have DirecTV so I can't look at it but it is on there.

The CSR I talked to the other day said that Sunshine HD was not covered in Tampa.

If I just want SunHD and FOXEDTV how much would I pay per month?

Well from what I heard is that SunHD is free for all HD customers and I'm assuming that your talking about the FOX EDTV local channel (aka FOX 13) and if so than all local channels are no extra charge for digital customers. So if you have just digital cable and have an HDTV box you will get these channels for no extra charge.

605 (PBS HD)
610 (CBS HD)
613 (FOX ED)
628 (ABC HD)
540 (Sunshine HD)
Discovery HD (don't know channel)

You don't get NBC HD, WB HD or UPN HD.

You will get HBO HD and Showtime HD if you order HBO and Showtime. If they add Cinemax HD, Starz HD and TMC HD you will have to order those networks just like you do for HBO and Showtime. Just so you know that Cinemax HD, Starz HD and TMC HD are all available now but no every provider carries them yet but they are on the air so to speak.

Thier new HD Pak for 6.99/month has currently InHD 1 and 2 and will have I assume in February HDNet and HDNet Movies. Also if TWC (now BHN) ever works a deal with ESPN HD you will most likely see this channels added to the HD Pak.

Hope this helps you out.

OK, so.. How much does Digital Cable cost with BHN?

BHN sent me the following on November 24 in response to questions I sent them on what it would cost to upgrade from my current non-digital package, what they call the Preferred Value Package. I currently pay a total of $48.06 ($42.95 + $5.11 taxes & fees), so from the information below it appears that the minimum cost to receive HD channels is $62.01 + additional taxes.

This e-mail is sent in response to your e-mail requesting information about our HDTV & DVR equipment. Adding the High Definition Converter will add a minimum of $13.95 + tax for a basic digital plan. The premium channels can be added at the cost of $10.00 (1), $20.00 (2), and $30.00 (4) in additional to the basic digital plan. To add the Digital Video Recorder would be the same price point ($13.95); however, the DVR is also a service which means there is an additional monthly cost of $9.95 for the service. At this time we do not have the equipment that offers a combination of the two services (coming soon). High Definition programming will be an ongoing process. We add this programming based on customer demand, contract negotiations (can extend for months), and excess capacity on our channel lineup must exist.

If you are a current D* subscriber you can get it for 39.99/mo.
Either way you pay less if you buy it from a rep rather than calling the main #.
If you want more info, pm me and I will give you my friends number and you can see what kind of promotions they are running.

Keep in mind that Sunshine doesn't really have an HD channel. They've managed to make "some" programming, particularly selected Orlando Magic and Tampa Bay Lightning games, available in HD. Consider this more like "special event" programming, rather than a channel.

If I read the prior posts correctly it seems that I can plug the cable into the Zenith set top box I have and get sunshine HD for the lightning games or do I have to have the HD package from BHN and their STB. THanks.

You will have to get a box from BHN because most non cable boxes such as your Zenith do not have QAM tuners so sadly that won't work. Plus even if your box did have a QAM tuner the channel may be scrambled so you won't get it either way.
