Out at 9:00 - Dylan Ratigan
Out at Noon - Dr. Nancy

In at 9:00 - The Daily Rundown (Savannah Guthrie & Chuck Todd)
In at 4:00 - Dylan Ratigan Show

Smart to get the in-you-face pit bull Ratigan out of the morning yawner spot and slot him in front Chris Matthews.

The Guthrie-Todd duo are DC insiders and will need some time to gel together but MSNBC may have something good in the 9-10 am slot.

People want news in the daytime.

I knew Dr. Nancy's health show was not going to work and Dylan was probably better not in the 9-11 slot.

Not sure if Dylan will make it though.

I do think Chuck and Savannah's show will be a hit.

Do you feel the need to post just to see yourself post?

A simple look at viewers and revenue shows that statement to be totally incorrect, as usual.

How Fox Conquered Cable News

Ten years ago, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, and Headline News each averaged around 200,000 daily viewers, while CNN led the way with 400,000.

Since then, Fox's viewership has skyrocketed by more than 570%, according to Nielsen ratings, via MediaBistro.
In 2002, Fox broke ahead of CNN and never looked back, finishing 2009 with more than twice the total viewers of any other cable network. That's one of the reasons it's making more money than the rest of the TV news business combined.

MSNBC is very competitive in the evening and they don't have anyone hemorrhaging advertisers like Beck. ON any other network he would have been gone a long time ago but Mutdoch keep propping his rhetoric up.

No back to our regularly scheduled "news" commentary......

The Morning Rundown will develop its own following just like Morning Joe did after the Imus fiasco. The show is based in DC meaning thery can still hold down their regular gigs as White House correspondents. That's the good news.

Dr. Nancy was completely out of her element when she had to do "hard" news which was injected into her show from time to time depenjding on the day's subjects. Giving her the noon slot was a mistake right from jump street. Maybe she’ll land a show on CNN with Sanjay Gupta

I don't know what to make of Dylan. He is so very abrasive and he has too many brain freezes on air. I think he is the poor man's Chris Matthews. He is the proverbial bull in the china shop and I think he lands back on CNBC talking yen.

SRI,

Are you talking to me? LOL

If so, nah.

I just like to engage in discussion.

Fox News has the ratings no doubt about it. I just love the content on MSNBC.

As for Dylan Radigan, the show will be cancelled at this time next year.

I'm with you on the Fox/MSNBC content thing. Political views aside, content has always been a key factor in which stations get listed as one of my favorites.

As for "Don't call me Bob" Dylan, he is nothing more than a Chris Matthews knockoff. When his show comes on I go straight to CNN, do not pass go, do not collect $200. While I give him credit for apologizing for a number of gaffes (rarely seen from most show hosts) he stammers too much before getting his point across at the same time he is cutting people off mid-sentence.

Matthews does this a lot but he is always thinking a step ahead while "Bob" mumbles along trying to inflict his point of view on guests and viewers alike.

Personally I think "Bob" will sing his last tune on MSNBC long before the summer is over http://tbsn1.com/forum/images/smilies/dead.gif and get booted back to CNBC where he was pretty good.

BTW, wasn't "Bob" the original kid in those Quiznos commercials a while back? http://tbsn1.com/forum/images/smilies/fall_down_funny.gif
