I got a robo-call yesterday saying my 7mbps Internet was getting a bump to 10mbps and thought they were going to do it overnight. Did speed test in the morning, still at 7.
Just after 2:00 pm, my Internet (and phone) dropped off for a few minutes and when it came back re-did the speed and voila, I was at 10.
It's a permanent freebie. :D

I got the same call and upgrade. Are you getting 1meg upstream? I'm getting 10 by 1 now. The reason I ask is I never got 7 meg by 1 meg in the past. My upstream was never higher then 485 K. Despite my complaining and having multiple techs over to my house they swore everything was working correctly even though they could see the speed wasn't what they were selling me. Now with the upgrade my upstream jumps to were it should have been all along.

I just tested mine to see if i got a speed bump too and surprisingly my road runner is hitting 15 mbs down and 1.5 mbs up. I had the 15 mbps down service upgrade for a year for free so I guess someone just forgot to drop me back down to the standard speed when the year was up. I ain't complaining :)

I have the 20Meg service and my latest bill said that my package is changing to Road Runner Turbo instead of Road Runner Turbo Plus. The bill also said that the service itself isn't changing just the name of the service is changing.

Thank you for calling our attention to this matter. We will immediately adjust your billing. You may expect your next bill to include additional charges for service in arrears. And thank you for using RoadRunner High Speed Internet through Brighthouse Networks!
