Digital WEDU has suffered a failure of a High Definition encoder.
This is channel 3.5 for "Over-the-air" and
Channel 605 on Brighthouse and
Channel 190 on Comcast.
This does not affect the other digital channels being broadcast.

The manufacturer has no loaner encoders available, but WEDU is placed
on a priority list as "off-air" for the first one that becomes available.

We are busy packing the unit for factory repairs, and do not anticipate
it's return until sometime next week.
As things change I will alert you all to our progress in repairs or
replacement.

Weird that it happened just as the big programming conversion was taking place.

I got it back on today also.

My Samsung T-160 now has six PBS subchannels listed in the guide and I wonder where they all came from. do they list automatically based on the PSIP data?
They don't all work, but here's the list

3...............WEDU................local PBS analog

3-1.............WEDUDT............local PBS digital SD 4x3

3-1..............WEDU-SD.........nothing

3-2..............WEDUDT2.........nothing

3-2..............WEDU-SD.........PBS Kids digital SD? 4x3

3-5..............WEDUDT5.........nothing

3-5..............WEDU-HD.........PBS HD digital widescreen

Another funny thing is that the guide data for these channels is mixed up on my guide for the 3-2 and 3-5 stations. Maybe I should do a re-scan?
EDIT:
I did a re-scan and it eliminated the bogus listings and put the proper guide info where it belongs. Go figure.

Floyd,

Your WEDUDT, WEDUDT2, and WEDUDT5 is coming from Directv with the programming info.. You don't have to scan WEDU any more to receive the channel info.
