This is not a cable vs. satellite issue but I find it VERY curious that Sun Sports carried only the SD signal of the UTEP-Texas game when the HD was available. Not that it matters for most people here in Tampa Bay but what is the point of having an HD station set aside if you are not going to use it?

Because I have satellite I found this out because it is on a bunch of RSNs.

Why does the Science Fiction HD Channel show Star Trek: Enterprise in SD when we know all episodes were done in HD?

Roger: I am not sure. BH might have carried it on channel 1000 in Orlando but did not see it.

A week ago they carried a game from the ESPN deal on Channel 1000 in SD so the Knights could be shown here. Kind of messed up they could not clear another channel to show a SD game.

Palmateer: I heard somewhere Mojo (Now-defunct) or HDNet had exclusive HD rights for Enterprise. Do not quote me on it though.

Palmateer, I wondered that too. It looks as if they cannot show it in full 16x9, however, I can adjust the pic to where it fills screen with little distortion. That said, SyFy isn't the only station that does that as I have seen HD shows/movies w/black bars on top and bottom.

Ironically, I am watching Enterprise on HDNet right now. :D

While watching the Twins/Tigers this afternoon I couldn't help but laugh when Fox Sports Detroit was running a spot that their HD channel is 24x7.

I know there is a lot of SD programming out there but there are more and more shows being produced in HD. To show them in SD is insulting to the viewer.

All regular HD channels show SD, like commercials and older shows so what is the major malfunction with these people? Put it up round the clock instead of picking and choosing live events and going dark after. Are trying to tell us there is NO high-def programs other than games? We all know better than that.
