I am newbie here and just bought a Sony 42" WEGA LCD TV 2 weeks ago (from CC). I have not been an avid TV viewer and only relied on OTA with an old 21" for the past 5 years! (I finally decided to "upgrade"!!) I had just set up my outdoor antenna last weekend as my indoor (analog) reception was poor. I wanted to do some research before picking a HDTV receiver (and hence didn't buy it with the TV). I am right now interested in the Samsung SIR-T351 and as far as I can tell it meets my criteria (has Composite/DVI output), and I can rely on the TV tuner for analog channels.
Has anyone seen or used this receiver and would like to share views? Thanks in advance!

I use the 351 and previously had the 151.
Right now, I primarily use cable and have the 351 sortof for backup - and to pick up channels not carried on BHN. Since I only have 1 DVI port on my TV, I've been using the BHN connected via DVI and the 351 connected via component.
The quality of reception is great. I really can't comment on its features compared to others because I haven't used others.
What I don't like is the length of time it takes to switch channels. If I was using this as my primary STB, I would seriously consider another box for that reason alone.

Max Gator,
Thanks for your reply. How much is the delay when switching channels?.. couple of seconds?..or considerably more? I may 'try' one from CC. I'll also look around for other STBs.
You may have noted that I too live in Westchase - in the Bridges actually! What about you?

Small world! I live in Stonebridge - one of the sets of villas.
I would say that the delay is about the same as if you just pushed 9 into your cable box instead of 009. So, yeah, a couple of seconds.

Its a small world indeed! We live in Wakesbridge - oppposite your subdivision! (Our house is the last house where the iron railing ends on Montague before the big tree adjacent the pond; our house is one before the house adjacent to the pond!)
I will definitely test using the 315, but it'll have to wait until next week as we are headed away tonight until Mon morning.

I live on the lakeside about 1/3 of the way in.
You should get good reception of most channels using just the silver sensor. We are in a fortunate spot - we get CBS very easily.
