just wishful thinking - I would absolutely love if the Bucs Radio Network could be broadcasted during the Bucs TV coverage. And have them in sync no less. This of course would be done on a secondary audio channel..

For those that don't understand what I am saying.. imagine listening to Gene D. on 103.5 broadcasting the game on Fox 13 using the SAP channel.

I used to to do this with my Sirius unit. I had it hooked up through my receiver. The delay was about 45 seconds, so I would pause the DVR until the delay caught up.

Don't you think there are about 100,000 other people in TB wishing for the same thing? It sure would be nice but can you imagine the legal hoops ClearChannel will have to go through with FOX/CBS/NFL?

I love the SAP idea but it all comes down to $$$ without much sense.

I don't think it is just the Bucs. It pretty much goes for radio coverage for most sports. They are more energetic and descriptive than TV. I'll bet fans in any market would say the same thing.

Sometimes I just turn down the inane sound... I think the guys talk just to make sure there is noise on the channel... many times saying nothing.

The radio side is always more entertaining because they have to paint a picture for the audience. That said, I have heard some gawd-awful color men sitting next to some great play-by-play guys.

I think Gene D. is the Vin Scully of football, he is that good, and he could probably do the broadcast alone like the Dodgers' announcer does. And that's coming from a long-time Jets fan. :-D

Sometimes I turn off the game audio and put on my favorite tunes while I’m watching. In many cases the play by play announcement is irrelevant. I can see what's happening and enjoy the game chorography to my favorite hard rock tunes.

When I was growing up my dad used to watch the NE Pats on the TV and listen to the Red Sox game on the radio. It drove me crazy!

You know I wonder if this would be a licensing nightmare. I mean the game is carried here by two local broadcasters (one for TV, one for radio). So the ads are only available locally and in the same market. It seems that it would only take an agreement between 103.5fm/640am and WTVT to add the radio's stream to the TV's secondary audio stream.

We know technically it isn't difficult or else Bryan wouldn't be able to do it. ;)

No worries Bucs' fans. You can listen to Gene D on the radio for most of the home games because there won't be any TV to synch it with.
