I do my radio show from my home studio and use a Comrex Blue Box to my station's hardware via Verizon POTS. BHN has me thinking of switching to their digital phone but I am not sure the Comrex will connect and maintain rate transfer because of a potential analog/digital conflct.
Does anyone have the tech savvy or knowledge base to give me a clue? I called BHN (they didn't know) and Comrex (were unsure) and anyone with first-hand experience here would be greatly appreciated.

You might have to try it out to be sure. Take advantage of their 30-day guarantee.
I have no experience with that device, but as a digital phone customer, I can say that it seems to operate exactly like a Verizon POTS line, with at least the same audio quality. I'd trust it before I'd trust a Vonage-type VoIP connection.

what he said.
however, it might be like some video phones too, we thought they would sync up fast because both phones were "digital".. it was unable to connect for some reason
don't have a buddy w/ digital phone to try it with?

I live in a condo complex and no one that I know of has switched from Verizon to BHN digiphone.
I already know the Comrex does not work with any VoIP (tried Vonage and even MagicJack) and when I called customer service they suggested I try it on someone's line although that is not possible.
They did say, however, their phone service is not a VoIP-type but a true digital via the coax. I understand a bit about algorithms to connect the two pieces of hardware but this was not a factor when Comrex created their equipment. If they cannot answer this definitively I wonder if anyone can unless they have first hand knowledge.
The 30-day guarantee ig good to know but if I change the hassle to go back lays me down for at least two weeks of shows.
Thanks all for trying to help.

If reliability is the most important thing to you, then don’t switch. I know 6 people that had the BHN digital phone, 2 loved it the other 4 had so many problems they dropped it and now use just cell phones or went back to a POTS line.
