Here's my theory:

A rogue Dish network CSR was bored at work in his boiler-room in India and somehow found the website-censor override-code and was going wild on the WWW. Perhaps his scripted answers included comparisons to DirecTV?

Or perhaps he is a world-famous cricket player in India and since D* had the cricket-ticket he from time to time sees directv advertisements in center field or whatever they call it there and finally broke down and asked us what exactly it was. That's my theory I welcome yours.
