This actually has the potential to be comical to watch as it is Channel 8's worst nightmare. They gave reverse compensation to NBC for the Olympics and are filled up with high dollar ad revenue. But we know how Channel 8 goes into Newsmode at the drop of a hat and a Hurricane bearing down on the area over the next several days puts them in a very interesting position, especially as Media General is loosing so much money and there are so many cutbacks and layoffs. This could be more interesting to watch than the Olympics themselves.

Now that they won't be interrupting Phelps, They won't give a crap about breaking in to tell us that it won't even be raining on Tuesday.

FT,
Haha, so true. You'd think a Hurricane hit us every year the way they act, rather than the once in 150 years it really is.

The difference now is an economic reccession and ad revenues way down for Media General as well as big layoffs. If you have been waiting for the Olympics to get you through the rough year this presents a major issue for management as the high priced Olympic Spots will get interrupted. Even if they do not, a hurricane will reduce viewing of the Olympics and thus the posting guarantees might not be made so that they have to do many makegoods.
Simply a potential nightmare for WFLA no matter which direction they go.

While watching the Olympics last night, They (WFLA) ran that damn scroll every 30 seconds (or so it seemed). What a crock 'o $hit. All the scroll told us was that it was 36 hours away. WHO THE HELL CARES!!! Get that crap off my screen. This just insures that I will tune to ANOTHER channel to get my news. Morons.
