Did anyone ever wonder why in Tampa Bay we get more Marlin games than Rays games? Do you think the people down in Miami get more Rays games than Marlin games?

I think most will come after they implement the new switching technology in the Tampa Bay area this year. It allows for better use of the bandwidth. The way things are now, all channels are fed to your cable box all the time. With the switching, it will only be sending the channel you are watching, cutting down on bandwidth utilization and allowing them to add channels. Basically, if nobody is watching shop at home in your neighborhood, bandwidth isn't wasted on it. Good for them.. now implement it and give us the channels!

I didn't know we even got Marlin games here. Not that I am a fan of other sports teams, out of south Florida, but it might be nice to see the Panthers or Dolphins once in a while in the Tampa Bay market. With the other sports you get your home team and then a select few other teams games.. not more games of another team than your own. Leave it to baseball to buck the trend. Any other sport does it that way, baseball does it that way. I hate baseball.

Even worse to us Rays fans, FSN doesn't carry Rays games if they are played at the same time as Marlin games. If that game is not picked up by ION, there is a Rays blackout that day.
