All the other major network affilate stations in the Tampa Bay area showed stunning HD images of the activities last night in the US Capitol, except the NBC affiliate.

WFLA, which earlier showed the exclusively HD evening news with Brian Williams, instead gave us a Phony HD image of the State of the Union speech. If I bothered to contact WFLA's engineer, he would probably give a lame excuse that they were not able to get a high-throughput feed from NBC, so had to resort to their infamous Sretch-O-Vision version. They could have given us the undistorted 4:3 image feed on their DT channel, but their Station Manager stubbornly clings to the grotesque STRETCHING that makes the wheels in their car commercials look like eggs.

Couldn't agree more. The event just showed what live HD coverage could really be like. The colors and details were amazing.

Did anyone else experience a BHN CableCard firmware updat around ten Sunday night? I was watching the SAG Awards and just when they got to the big awards it went off and took 15 minutes. Can't imagine why they couldn't have done that at 4 a.m.

Yeah, they suck, other NBC affiliates around the country carried the HD signal.
