All the other major network affilate stations in the Tampa Bay area showed stunning HD images of the activities last night in the US Capitol, except the NBC affiliate.
WFLA, which earlier showed the exclusively HD evening news with Brian Williams, instead gave us a Phony HD image of the State of the Union speech. If I bothered to contact WFLA's engineer, he would probably give a lame excuse that they were not able to get a high-throughput feed from NBC, so had to resort to their infamous Sretch-O-Vision version. They could have given us the undistorted 4:3 image feed on their DT channel, but their Station Manager stubbornly clings to the grotesque STRETCHING that makes the wheels in their car commercials look like eggs.
