OK, i don't know if there is a retail place in town with one, but HOP has one, so I figured I'd mention it.
Also, Knative (from avs, not joined here yet) and Troup (bradenton) either have it or is getting it.
I'd see myself getting one and I'd also recommend this type of thing to new HD folks that want to record OVER getting a HTPC (home theater PC). The sheer simplicity of this over using a PC is the real advantage.
There's a big thread (#262970) at AVS about it (plz read that before asking Qs) - $780-$820 range, and you can add your own hard drive to increase recording capacity. This is the first unit in its class, so while there are some annoyances with the user interface and functionality (nothing prohibiting a purchase if you need/want to record HD), you can expect the 2nd generation of these units (like the HD Tivo) to be better than this unit.
If one turns up in town, someone let us know where we can see it.
