VOD is working

I only turn on my DirecTV on Sunday for the NFL ticket and just noticed that VOD is working. I tried it out, and it works. Anyone know if this is done via the dish itself or via the ethernet port?

Since the VOD(DOD) service requires the broadband ethernet connection to have a minimum speed of 750K, it looks like they are sending your requested shows over the internet.
