I was looking at the FIoS TV web site to find the phone number to order some CableCARD's and I found this:

High Definition
Multi-Room DVR
$19.99/month Has all the features of our standard DVR and more
View recorded TV programs from your DVR on other TVs with our Standard set top box
Comes with Media Manager that lets you use your TV to enjoy photos and music stored on your PC
Includes the Interactive Programming Guide that lets you easily find the channel you want
Dimensions - W 17.02 in. D 10.78 in. H 2.57 in.

Does this mean you can watch an HD recorded show in SD in another room? Or, do you have to have an HD box with HDTV to do multi-room HD?

The FiOS DVR box can only send SD to another box, at this time. HD is not supported.

Get the Tivo S3 / TIVO HD if you want to send HD from one box to another.

Well then, why is it on their web site?

Yea, just got a TivoHD... I assume I need a second one to send to another room. Although from what I understand with TTG I may be able to send to the laptop and hook that up in the second room.

Yeah, you'd need another HD TiVo to send to another room. TTG is much slower than MRV. I can transfer shows between S3s in about half real time, but TTG is about double real time. Reports indicate that the THD is slower than the S3, but I don't have one to try.
