So here is what I have going for my upcoming (short) road trip to Miami this weekend.

My laptop is going to be connected to my Motorola Q (evdo on Verizon for high speed internet). The video out on the laptop is going to the AUX input in our mini-van (rear seat DVD).

Then, I am logging on to the Supercast that comes with the DirecTV Superfan subscription. I will be able to watch all the NFL games and the redzone channel while my wife drives me back from Miami this Sunday!

I tested it all out this weekend while coming home from the Bucs game and it worked like a charm. A few dead spots on Alligator Alley may pop up but otherwise there is EVDO coverage for the entire route.

Well...the experiment was a bust...sort of...The SuperCast site from DTV has been having horrible performance since it was released. I had a connection, but it was painful to watch. So I disconnected from that website and went to my pc tuner through ORB and just watched the bucs game only. Either way, it's a heck of way to make a road trip...
