Looking for alarm installer

Hi gang,

Anyone here have any experience with installing residential alarm systems? Or know a buddy who does?

We're moving into a new home we've renovated. I've done a basic pre-wire for an alarm system. I've found numerous places to buy the equipment online, but the programming aspect of setting up the system scares me.

If you know of anyone who might be able to help, I'd appreciate hearing from you!

I did it myself and I have to say it wasn't that bad.
Part of the reason is because I wanted a alarm system that could also perform home automation tasks,(turn on lights when doors open etc) and none of the companies I talked with were interested in helping me beyond the alarm.

I went with a ELK M1 gold, which is a great alarm manufacture that also supports Home automation features.

Wiring it was the hardest part, despite my house being pre-wired. The actual programming part was really easy with the included windows software.
