I've been looking closely at this device for a potential Christmas present (for myself). If: 1) you have a widescreen HDTV, 2) you are (or will) build a collection of digital hirez pictures, or 3) want to listen to MP3s on your stereo, this is a cool device: Roku HD1000 (www.rokulabs.com)
It is available through Amazon. It is $499. Ouch.
Of note, it will pull pictures from a memory card or from a drive on your home network, then display them in HD glory. The manual for this thing does not appear to be on their website, so... Roku HD1000 Manual (http://web.tampabay.rr.com/deweerd/Docs/ROKU-HD1000-Manual.pdf).
Also, here is a link to a fairly active thread regarding it: AVS Roku Discussion (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?postid=2703328#post2703328)
