My dvr has appearantly decided not to record two of my "all episodes" shows today...just today though...it recorded them yesterday...it has them in the scheduled recordings for the rest of the week but today it didn't record them and it doesn't have them in the scheduled recordings list, however it does have them marked red in the guide like it is going to record them, and here's the kicker, at 7 pm today it was recording one of these shows (the red light was on) yet it's not in the list? I reset the box and it still is not showing the rerun at 12 tonite in the scheduled recordings list, it is however still marked red in the guide and I bet the red light will come on like it's recording it at 12 tonite, but it won't just like it did with the others.

Just thought I'de share...it's one of those idiotic things that defy logic that make me want to take a sledge hammer to the box

One possible reason:

How many shows was it trying to record at the same time? I'm not sure what happens in the SARA logic when the box tries to get three, but only has two tuners. It would certainly show the episode as scheduled, and the light would be on because it was recording something else, and the guide might think it had been recorded so it would ignore the rerun.

Just guessing here...

When it has a schedule conflict (ie-more than two shows to record at the same time) it just cancels the whole "all episodes" of the show that is on the highest numbered channel...but there was only one recording scheduled at 7 yesterday and there is nothing in my list that was recorded at 7...never the less, the recording light was on from 7 to 8...it did the same thing on the three episodes of star trek that ran yesterday that it was supposed to record.

it has recorded everything like normal today...I did'nt change anything on the box either...the box just decided it didn't feel like recording two of my "all episodes" programs yesterday for some reason...god only knows why. 8O :?

Yes the answer is simple, solar flares! I am getting weird things happening with electronic equipment all the time.

CM _ I think its partly your fault because you are trying to record too many episodes of "Judge Judy"
