looking to pick your brains for some ideas. i've been trying to pull in 8-1 at my parents house in venice for at least a year and can't. i'm using a antennas direct v-21 vhf/uhf yagi, a dishnetwork 921 and a cm 7777 pre-amp.

all other riverview stations come in strong and solid including 38-1. what has me baffled is i'm using the exact same equipment 30 miles further south in port charlotte and i get 8-1 solid? and i installed the same antenna at a friends house in south venice about halfway between my house and my parents and can get 8-1
with a voom receiver and no pre-amp? all 3 locations are pulling in ft. myers off the
back of the antenna solid.
is anyone else on the same tower as 8-1? if so i'll try to peak them. any ideas?

Regarding your earlier question about 8-1 sharing with another station: Off the top of my head I don't know but I will find out and let you know.

Have you taken your parent's receiver to your house to rule out that it is not the receiver?

Their 921 first belonged to me and I had 8-1 solid with it at my house.
I have their antenna mounted to the chimney, tomorrow I'm going to move it
to the other side of the chimney just to see if it makes a difference.

sounds to me like you need help in the VHF range since 8-1 is the only channel that is low VHF.

Dknow - don't forget that 13-1 (12-1) is in the VHF range. Granted its in the upper range but nevertheless the VHF range.

WFLA [8], WFTS [28], WTTA [38], WFTT [50] all share a tower together.

I just got back from their house, I moved the antenna to the other side of
the chimney and raised it as much as I could and still can't even get 8-1 to
show a signal in the green let alone lock in. 28,38, and even 50 are solid and locked. Sunday I'll peak it to those channels and see if it mades a diiference.
Right now I'm peak to 13 with a signal of 113. Thanks for your help.
