A relative of mine wants to get into HDTV. He lives up in Brooksville and is asking me if it is doable.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get dig signal up there? also, if he cant get a signal can he get HDTV national feeds via Dishnet?
thanking you in advance,

nobody in Brooksville area?
Hi Jerry,
I live due west of Brooksville just off of US19 and north of Weeki Wachee. I have been receiving OTA DTV for about a year now. I'm using a RS VU-110 antenna mounted about 30 feet up with a pre-amp and a Sammy SIRT-151 STB. My location is about 55 miles from the antenna site so reception can be marginal at times depending on the weather. Your friend may be able to get reception too but it all depends on his location and how high he can get his antenna. If there are many trees or any of those Brooksville hills in the way he can forget it.

thanks for the info. He does have trees so I guess it looks like it is not going to happen.

If he has a watchable picture on the regular analog stations, then he can probably get the digital ones just fine.
Ditto the comments about the hills up that way.
