Another year has passed, and the NHRA season starts this weekend, and I'm still having to watch it via an analog channel, blown up to 55". Is there any chance at all the channel will be offered within the next 60 days?

MTAS,

See previous posts on this topic.

BHN has been saying for a year that they are working on it.

As long as Time Warner Cable is calling the shots for BHN...there will be no ESPN2HD in the near future.

I am still waiting to see what is going to replace INHD2 on channel 704.

Their silence on this is interesting.

It has been over a month and no answers. Call BHN to seek some credit on the 6.00/month charge for their HD Pak.

But for now enjoy NHRA in SD:)

This sort of thing is exactly what's holding back broad acceptance and enjoyment of HD programming. Cable operators, and likely satellite service providers, and the program providers spend WAY too much time and effort on petty arguements in contract negotiations. Over a YEAR in negotiations for ONE channel? That's absolutely nuts! And the channels that BHN IS adding carry almost nothing but reruns, and some even in a stretched picture format claiming to be HD!

You are right on about the petty arguments!

>And the channels that BHN IS adding carry almost nothing but reruns, and >some even in a stretched picture format claiming to be HD!

I’ve been scanning the channel guide of our new MTV HD music channel and it’s nothing but reruns after reruns of the same old programming for two weeks. They don’t even broadcast some type of top ten videos which would change weekly!

I was also disappointed that the “Soprano’s” now showing on A&E HD is not in HD! I remember watching the Soprano’s on HBO in HD. What gives with that?

The early episodes of Soparanos wasn't in HD, when they get to the season where they went HD it will be in HD.
