Anyone else have unwatchable reception problems? I normally get ABC-HD great. MNF tonight was totally unwatchable. It was a broadcast/reception problem because my signal quality meter was bouncing all over the place.
Strangely, all other channels (including channel 10 CBS, which is the closest physical channel to ABC) came in perfectly at strong signal.
I visually checked my antenna, and all was OK.

I didn't post this last night, but Alias OTA was terrible.
My signal meter would be at 77% and then just drop to 25 or 45 for some unknown reason.
Not really making it unwatchable, but very annoying.
Might be the same related issue.

I think it is time to get up on the roof and check connections.

well, maybe for me also, but i can't imagine any connections coming loose.
perhaps there's some new multipath interference happening now. I've got a 2+ yr old technology tuner in my PC. But as close am I am to riverview, you would't think I've have any problems.

We had some strangeness going on, too. We kept switching between MNF and Everybody loves Raymond on CBS, and eventually, the ABC signal just disappeared, and then miraculously showed up on 10-1. At that point, Raymond was gone. I switched back and forth a few more times, and the analog channels 10 and 28 were fine, but I swear I was watching ABC on CBS.
Too freaky for me, so I switched to Tivo. I don't like to be scared by my own equipment!

hey holly - welcome back
ya, the kinks definitely are not all worked out of this equipment yet - even the 3rd generation receivers (like the SONY HD300) have their issues.
HDTV is certainly doable, as we see, but every now and then these weird things go on and you just gotta take it in stride.
