Just noticed a message tonight (Friday, Jan. 5, 2007) from Bright House that the channel is now dead. I guess what I need to know now is if there will be another HD channel to take it's place to justify the price for the HD tier/package.

Channel has been gone since midnight on the 1st. Since you are just now checking it. That's probably why it's gone. No one ever turned on that channel. That and Oh Ya, sucky programming.

It is an outrage to me.

Happy New Year's BHN subscribers! As a gesture of thanks we decided to pull a 24 hour, full time HD channel from you! Cheers!

Yes, I know it was INDemand that stopped with the content but that is no excuse to not bring on another channel in its place.

Keep your A&E with 1% HiDef content and start adding channels we want.

I guess they could use the bandwidth for another PPV HD channel.

As I mentioned in my post on the ESPN2 HD topic:

What is going to be the replacement channel for INHD2?? #704

It has now been 11 days and not a peep from BHN.

As further stated, if enough subscribers to the HD PAK start calling asking for partial credit it may get their attention!

I know it would not be much credit but it would be something and make them realize there are subscribers out there that notice this and that there are alternatives!

I emailed them but didn't get much in the way of a response.

Me: "Since INHD2 is oficially no longer in service what new HD channel will be taking it's place to justify the price for the HD Package?"

BHN: "Dear Mr. Picard,

The Indemand Pay Per View network made the decision to drop INHD 2 and incorporate that programming into INHD (1).

Bright House Networks is currently working on plans to enable us to launch additional network programming choices in 2007.

As HD is still a relatively new technology for most TV viewers, we are working to expand the HD programming choices, as well, in 2007. At this time, we are unable to offer definitive information on which networks might be added in HD.

Please feel free to contact us for updates at any time.

All,

I hear exactly what you're saying, because I've been saying it to my bosses since I found out INHD was shutting down the channel. Trust me, the Division President has heard it, because I said it to him, and keep saying it.

We're going to replace the channel, we just don't have rights to the content just yet, so we can't make any announcements.

Thanks Greg, canyou give us a time frame? within 30 days, 90 days, 365 days? (Of course the last one would be a little dissapointing to hear)

FT Boomer:

39 days into the new year...still no response from BHN of what is going to replace INHD 2.

Their silence is deafening!

Talked to a rep yesterday and asked what the status was on replacing the channel. I was told there are no plans to add another channel in its place.
