I'm hoping that someone might be able to help answer a question I have regarding HD channels in Pinellas.

I have a Philips 26" LCD (26PF5321D/37) which has a QAM tuner. I do not use a STB. All of the BHN HD channels appeared properly numbered, from 603 through 632, until early November when the analog stations were upgraded to digital.

Since that time the only stations that are correctly numbered are 613.1 and 632. For example the WUSF channels on my set are now found at channels 79.2616, 79.2617, 79.2618 and 79.2619. Channel 8 is at 91.2608, Channel 10 at 106.2610.

I've had BH come to the house to check the problem and I was told that everything is fine on their end. It was suggested that the set required a firmware upgrade.

I contacted Philips service and was told to take the set to a repair shop as the set is still within warranty. The set came back from the shop last week.

The repair shop, Plaza Electronics, said that there is nothing wrong. It is tuning the stations exactly where BHN is transmitting them.

Can anyone tell me if the Pinellas HD channels are transmitted on the frequencies that I have listed? If so, is this the result of the recent changes in upgrading the analog stations to digital?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Yes, those are the QAM channels you listed.

Its a pain isn't it?

An inconvenient pain, yes.

I'd like it to be easier but refuse to rent yet another piece of equipment from BHN.
