With the release of the new digital packages (sports and spanish) and the HD tier (INHD & INHD2), are you going to be purchasing any of these packages? I don't plan on signing up for any of the additional packages as the HD tier is too weak in content to warrant a $6 month charge.

I'd rather they get the rest of the local DT channels added to the line up. But since there's no new revenue flow from that........

I am glad to have options, but I hope that they add NBC, UPN, and the WB soon.
I won't sign up till I see a program that I want to see on INHD1 or 2.
I do keep checking the listing.

I'm with you bdraw, I signed up for the INHD weekly program listing and haven't seen any reason to sign up. Add UPN, NBC, & WB and I'll gladly pay the 6 bucks.

Brighthouse, if you're listening, I'll be more than happy to shell out the extra $6.00/mo. for the HD tier when you put something worth watching on it (e.g. ESPN-HD, HD-Net). Till then I'll wait.
Great news on UPN and WB, but I'm still skeptical BHN will get NBC, UPN, or WB by the end of the year. I hope they prove me wrong.

The epic matchup today between Idaho State vs. Montana State on INHD should be worth $6 alone

I wonder how many fools are going to actually sign up for this garbage !!!
I for one will not, not until they offer espnhd , hdnet , NBC,wB, and upn.
Come on, not so Brighthouse !!!!!

Well, I'm a sucker for HD programming, so I signed up for the HD pak today. HOWEVER, if more channels are not added to this tier in the next month or so, I think I will probably cancel it. Hopefully one day I'll turn on my TV and discover HDnet or ESPN HD was added to the tier!

Well, I've been checking the program guide on INHD for about a week now. I can't believe BHN wants $6.00/mo for this. :?

I've been getting the weekly schedules via email and I haven't seen anything yet worthwhile. Come on BHN, get with the program, I'm up over $160 a month now and still the HD line-up isn't complete. Bring on UPN, WB, ESPN and I'll gladly jump to $166.

Don't forget we want NBC too!

HD tier would be a farce if it was not: all HD locals, Discovery, ESPN, and HDNet.

Does anyone know if there is a timeline to get a deal done between BHN and NBC? I would love to get NBC as I don't see ESPNHD in our near future

I could show you emails from Time Warner from more than two years ago that said they were in negotiations. It is always the answer. They may have very good business-y reasons why the switch has not been turned on. In the meantime, you might consider the $100 that it would cost for a used SIR-T150, and another $30 for a antenna. This would seem to be about one month of cable for some of the folks on these forums!
I was trying to avoid an OTA HD setup back in 2001, and had some correspondence with Time Warner (which had NO HD back then). I gave up waiting, went OTA, and never looked back. FYI, I get 11 digital stations OTA. It cost me much more that the numbers above, though.

PP _ enough of that crap about the $100 ota receivers :)
show me! you're dreaming!
btw, i'm taking a 3 week trip coming up and along with me comes the PJ and screen material for the wall. I want to take a STB as well - anyone have a spare OTA or OTA/DirecTV STB they are not using?

OK. Maybe a used model missing the remote.
Still, Ebay regularly shows them selling for between $100 and $200. I'll track some closed sales and report back here on what a used unit is selling for. Here is an easy link to Ebay Search for Samsung Sir-T150 (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?query=samsung+SIR-T150).
