I was reading that todays game is in Fox Widescreen: http://www.directvsports.com/Packages/NFLSundayTicket/Schedule/

Locally it isn't on...although it was for the first 5 minutes when the teams came out of the tunnel and they where discussing the game in the booth.

It is suppose to be in widescreen however there is a national problem with the feed.. This is not a local issue.

Ok... NOW it is a local issue at this time.. DIRECTV on channel 72 is fine and in WideScreen (at the start of the game channel 72 was in 4x3). I spoke with Steve over at WTVT a few minutes ago and he stated they are not receiving the feed from the network.

Are the Fox Widescreen and regular feeds two seperate entities? I was always under the impression that Fox Widescreen was the 480i signal stretched to 16x9 and braodcast in 480p by the locals...I guess thats erroneous.

I was looking forward to watching the game in WS. Really said how these networks can't get their act together. :roll:

It just came on in widescreen! Yipee...now if the Bucs could start playing better!

Compared to the Patriots/Giants game.... yeah, the PQ does seem to be worse. But at least it's better than it was at 4:3.

Yes you are erroneous
Fox has 480p WS camera's.
There is conflicting information to whether they have 480p widescreen camera's ore 480i upconverted.
The odd thing is that here in Tampa they actually upconvert to 720p.
