I've been thinking about swapping out my SD box for an HD box w/ Firewire so i can run the HD signal into my computer to watch (no need to record as i have my SA 8300HD downstairs)
What non-dvr HD box does BH use? I've seen mention of a Pace Box and then a few other SA's... I'm down in Manatee county if that matters...

I have the Pace (made by Scientific Atlanta I believe). While it works well, it doesn't have Firewire. I don't believe there are any other Firewire options outside of the HD/DVR.

I had an SA3250 (I believe that was the number), before I upgraded to the SA8300HD. It had a functioning firewire port which I used to archive to my PC and I assume that BH still has some in its inventory. Anyway, according to the FCC mandate, they must provide you with a firewire functional set-top box if you request one. Hope that helps.
