Hi,
Hey everyone...don't know if there are 'electrician' types out there...TV repair kind....but I have had my Mit in the repair shop for some time. It started out with a simple fix, but I understand now that a CRT is out and needs replacing. During all of this, I went out and bought a 42" HD Panasonic Plasma and just don't think it's worth it to me to repair this tv and then try to sell it. I might make a bit, but not too much. It worked great until it shorted out (wasn't tv's fault....can explain later). I know CRT's are $3-400 themselves and unless you can fix yourself it's another couple hundred.
But...it's a great machine...picture on this HDTV 16x9 is great...just a big guy. This is their top of the line model (bought in June 2001). There is no receiver built in (later model did have this) and I have been using a Directv HDTV Sony receiver (any will do).
If anyone is interested in seeing this...or may be interesting in taking it as-is to repair for probably only a couple hundred...just as well let it go.
