PBS local schedule

Received this email today from WEDU:

On October 1, 2003, at 6 AM, WEDU-DT will begin the following schedule of broadcasts on the listed virtual channels.

3-1 24 X 7 = WEDU Simulcast (This is the same programming broadcast on analog ch. 3 )
3-2 6AM - 6PM = Fl Knowledge Network / 6PM - 6AM = Fl Channel
3-5 6AM - 6PM = PBS Kids upconverted to 1080i. / 6PM - 6AM = PBS Hi Def Programming

I don't know of anything that could change that arrangement, except
when either more HD material is offered by PBS, or we drop PBS-Kids
from our lineup. Neither of which is likely to happen in the immediate future.

actually, this sucks!
if you see the PBS Schedule (by using the handy link in the upper left hand corner of the screen <G>) then you'll notice that they have 2 HD shows that come on at 5pm and 5:30.
we will never get to see those.

and i tuned in Wed to see the 2pm Florida River show in HD and it was kid crap.
hey, the kids don't pay the bills and fundraising around here last time i checked. they're screwing with the wrong people.
